Lino Printing is a printmaking technique in which a sheet of linoleum is used for the relief surface. A design is cut into the lino surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge, with the raised (uncarved) areas a representing a mirror image of the parts to be printed. The lino sheet is then inked with a roller and then impressed onto the paper. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a printing press.
